What's special about challenges on Laurels?

Laurels developed the concept of challenges to unlock pro bono at large scale. Laurels challenges share several characteristics.

They're short

An experienced professional should be able to draft a full response during a quick lunch hour or commute.

They generate useful responses

Even a 20-minute response should be actually useful.  Think of what you can accomplish in 20 minutes of concentrated work during your work day.

They're self-contained

All the information required to respond should be included in the challenge.  No follow-up questions required.

They're cumulative

No one can redesign a website in 20 minutes.  Laurels works with nonprofits to define sequences of challenges that — cumulatively — can ladder up to big outcomes.
